Especially after watching this:
“The Places We Live”
by Jonah Bendiksen.
It’s a photographic study of slums in Venezuela, India, Indonesia, and Africa. Four households in each area can be viewed as the owners tell their stories. Uses a 360-degree panning program.
Thanks to Elayne for showing me this site.
I’ll check it out when I get a chance. Probably make me feel a whole lot better about the ghetto I live in.
I’m 51 today. Found old posts on the web (using the waybackmachine) where I was lamenting the fact that I had just turned 42.
Wife doing well. Looks like I will end up overseas in about another year if everything goes as she plans. She’s awaiting proper work permits (she’s already doing some part-time English tutoring) so she can get a full time job which will be necessary for us to get our own place over there.
Enjoy.
Tag, you’re it.
